Joseph George Kuritar, Jr.

KURITAR, Joseph George, Jr., 75, of Butler Township, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. He was born to Joseph, Sr. & Olga  Kuritar (Kruzsicz) on November 27, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio. Joe was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Dayton. He was retired from Tech Metals after 45 years of service. Joe was an adult leader for the Boy Scouts and coached volleyball for Xplosion and Miamisburg High School. He also volunteered for the House of Bread, Rebuilding Together and many other charitable organizations.

Survived by his children: Michael Kuritar, Andrea Ferguson (Michael Whitby) & Kevin Kuritar (Jessica Patton); three grandchildren, Gabriel Ferguson, Ember Kuritar & Demitrius Doepel; three sisters, Karen Kuritar, Gail Brockman (Dan) & Debbie Staas (Bob); the mother of his children, Kathy Kuritar, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 30, from 12 noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, OH 45377. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday October 31 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 22 Notre Dame Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45404, with Fr. Kyle Schnippel officiating.
