Joseph L. Tracey

TRACEY, Joseph L., age 87 passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 in Huber Heights. He was born November 19, 1930 in Dayton, son of the late Vernon & Helen (Clemmons). Joseph was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, a retired employee of General Motors and was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Huber Heights. Preceded in death by 2 sisters, Opal O’Connell and Iris Tracey and 1 brother, Vernon Tracey Jr., Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Mary (Koerner) Tracey; 4 children, Christine A. Claude (Mick), Joseph L. Tracey (Toni); Karen J. Kleinhenz (Mike) and Michael L. Tracey (Misty); 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 10 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Huber Heights with Fr. Tony Cutcher officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Wednesday evening from 5-7 pm, and again on Thursday at St. Peter’s Church from 10:30 am until time of Mass.
