Joy Ann Tyree

Joy Ann Tyree, 88, of West Milton, formerly of Vandalia, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024 at her home. She was born to Ray & Edna Syx on November 6, 1935 in Dayton, Ohio. Joy was a life member of VFW Post #6560 & American Legion Post #746 Ladies Auxiliaries. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard H. Tyree (1997), and her sister Donna Parker and brother John Syx. Survived by her 7 sons, Bernard E. Tyree (Jonell), John M. Tyree (Pamela), Tim A. Tyree (Rose), Tom R. Tyree (Tish), Mark A. Tyree, Lewis M. Tyree (Lisa) & Larry W. Tyree (Karen); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren & great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. 

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2024 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, OH 45377, with cremation to follow. The entombment of her cremated remains will be held privately at the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
