Joyce Mae Brandenburg

Joyce Mae Brandenburg Age 90, of Kettering, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Kettering Medical Center. Joyce was born September 7, 1922 in Stanton, Kentucky to the late Lewis & Amanda (Patton) Stewart. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jessie Brandenburg, in 1998; one son, Virgil Ray Brandenburg; three brothers, Lonnie, Sebert & Clarence Stewart; and by three sisters, Annie Rogers, Zannie Howard & Izzetta Pittman. Joyce is survived by one daughter, Trecia L. Bates of Kettering; one daughter-in-law, Linda Brandenburg of St. Paris; one sister, Ella Ray Campbell of Stanton, KY; three grandchildren, Janice Bates of Troy, Scott (Jennifer) Brandenburg of Grove City and Kristin Brandenburg of Denver, CO.; three great grandchildren, Jenna Rice, Lauren Rice & Olivia Brandenburg; and by many nieces, nephews, her extended family and many good friends. Joyce was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and baking jam cakes. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 " 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Morton-Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
