Joyce Nohacs

NOHACS, Joyce, age 93 of Vandalia, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018. She was born September 12, 1924, daughter of the late Hans & Dosha (Croft) Hansen. Joyce retired from Ohio Bell in 1983 after 39 years of service and she was a beloved grandmother. Preceded in death by her husband, John; 1 son, John M. Jr., 1 daughter, Linda Farquhar and 8 siblings, Joyce is survived by her son, Stephen & wife, Barbara Nohacs of Vandalia; 2 grandchildren, Johnathan and Benjamin Nohacs; 2 step-grandchildren, Jennifer & Heather; 3 step-great-grandchildren, Grace, Zachery, & Matthew, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-7 pm, Thursday, January 4 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Private Graveside services will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton in Joyce’s memory.
