LETNER, Juanita age 86 of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Friendship Village. She was born October 20, 1921 in Williamsport, KY, daughter of the late James & Martha (Debord) Williams. Juanita was a member of the Polk Grove United Church of Christ and was a former campfire troop leader in the Vandalia area. She loved hosting parties and was devoted to her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching her grandchildrens sporting events, especially hockey and volleyball. Preceded in death by her 10 brothers & sisters, Juanita is survived by her husband of 61 years, Daniel Letner of Vandalia; her daughter, Tammy & husband, David Stormer of Vandalia; 3 grandchildren, Jason & wife, Jennifer Stormer of Union, Shawn & Blaine Stormer of Vandalia; 2 great-granddaughters, Allie & Kinsey; and a host of other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service to celebrate Juanitas life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 14 at the Polk Grove United Church of Christ, 9190 Frederick Pike with Rev. John Fowler & Rev. Ronald Hajarian officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association in Juanitas memory.
