Juanita (Baber) Orme

ORME, Juanita (Baber), age 84 of Huber Heights, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at her residence. She was born May 30, 1929 in Sunbright, TN, daughter of the late Walter & Florence (Gunter) Hall. Juanita was a longtime member of the Vandalia Baptist Temple and retired from Gem City Engineering as the Manager of Payroll and Benefits in 1996. She was one of eleven children and has been blessed with the love of her siblings and their spouses throughout her life including Beatrice (Bill) Rose, Jewell (Gene) Southworth, Iris (Hubert) Clifton, Barbara (Kenny) Logston, Helen (Charles) Brown, Dorothy (Wayne) Parkinson, Clayton (Evelyn) Hall, Robert (Bettie) Hall, Reva Lindsey and Bill (Iris) Hall and special niece Karen Rose. Juanita is survived by her husband, James C. Orme and extended families of Jim Orme (Naomi), their children Rachele, Theron, Hayden, Evalynn, and Jim's daughters, Amy Myers (Brent) with children, Haley & Megan, and Jennifer James (Michael) with children, Lydia & Gracelyn; Gary A. Orme (Judy) and children, Matthew (Jennifer), Ashley (Eric), Alysha and Melody (Adam). Juanita is also blessed with five step-children from her deceased spouse, Clarence "Jack" Daniel Baber Jr: Clarence "Jack" Daniel Baber III, Steve Baber, Mark Baber, Glenn Baber, and Jenna Hauser "Baber", 15 grandchildren, Angie, Robin, Tony, Daniel, Amanda, Darcy, Julia, Alan, Cheri, David, Christopher, Meagan, Jason, Matthew and Isabella, as well as 20 great- grandchildren, all of whom were loved by Juanita. She was loving wife, step-mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, May 13, at the Vandalia Baptist Temple, 724 Helke Rd. Vandalia with Rev. Rick Washburn officiating. Interment to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Monday evening from 5-7 pm.
