CARPENTER, Judith A. (Stebbleton), age 67, of Clayton, passed away Friday, January 19, 2007 at Vandalia Park Nursing Center after a lengthy illness. She was born October 23, 1939 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late Howard & Esther (Fourman) Stebbleton. Preceded in death by 1 sister, Norma, Judith is survived by her husband of 49 years, James E. Carpenter Sr., 2 sons, James Carpenter Jr. & wife, Chris, and Curtis H. Carpenter; 2 daughters, Sherre Snow and Jeanne & husband, Robert Blatt; 4 grandchildren, Jordan Snow, Cameron Hart, James Dale Carpenter, and Mason Blatt; niece, Kelly Irwin; great-niece, Brandy Irwin and numerous other relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am, Tuesday, January 23, at Polk Grove Cemetery, National Rd & Frederick Pike with Rev. Ronald Hajarian officiating. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Tuesday morning from 9-11 am. If so desired, contributions may be made to the American Heart & Lung Association in Judiths memory. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at Vandalia Park for the wonderfully compassionate care they provided for Judith throughout her illness.
