Katherine Bowling

BOWLING, L. Katherine (Kathy) of Dayton died at Harborside Nursing Home in Troy after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimers disease. Kathy was born August 12, 1937 in Pennington Gap, VA to Glenn & Emily Parsons. After coming to Dayton, she worked at Inland Manufacturing where she met her husband and love of her life , Charles (C.B.) Bowling. She was preceded in death by her parents, aunt Ruth Clawson, and nephew Mark Anderson. She leaves to cherish her memory, husband Charles; son Steve Robbins of Redding, CA; daughters Patty (Luc) Benoit of Butler Twp., Jane (Frank) Kells-Parker of Union; step-son Alan (Lois Ann) Bowling of Salyersville, KY; sisters Ann Anderson, Mary Ruth (Richard) Aspenson; grandchildren Adam Kells, Kyle and Cameron Benoit, LeighAnn (Cory) Doyle, Lexi Bowling, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the caregivers of Harborside Nursing Home B Station for their loving care of Kathy during her illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday December 1 at the Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. Burial will follow at Lee Memorial Cemetery in Woodway, VA. There will be no services in Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association Miami Valley Chapter 3797 Summit Glen Dr. G100 Dayton, OH 45449 or to the charity of your choice in Kathys memory.
