Kathryn Luella Braswell

BRASWELL, Kathryn Luella, 71, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021. She was born Dec. 13, 1949 in West Virginia, before settling in Ashland, Kentucky. Kathryn graduated with a Bachelor’s in English from Eastern Kentucky University. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Paul and Luella Virginia Braswell, and her brother David Braswell. She was married for 17 years to an airman and traveled the world. She gave birth to 2 daughters from that marriage; the late Kellie Kathryn Chris 1974-2003 (her daughter Kaitlyn Parlakkilic, husband Mustafa Parlakkilic, and children, (Kathryn's great grandchildren) Khloe and Carter), and Amanda Jo Leckey 1979- current, (children Maxwell and Karlie) she has been single since 1990. She was a retired civil servant for the City of Beavercreek Police, where she was a 911 dispatcher for 10+ years. She loved her family, the Lord, animals, reading, cooking and John Denver.
