Kathy Wackler

WACKLER, Kathleen R. “Kathy”, age 61 of Vandalia, passed away Monday, March 11, 2019 at Miami Valley Hospital. Kathy was born May 6, 1957 in Butler Township, Ohio daughter of Dale and Shirley (Thomas) Wackler. She was a 1975 graduate of Vandalia-Butler High School, loved windchimes, NASCAR, and her dog, Jack. Kathy was a devoted caregiver and she and her father were truly “Best Buddies”. They took wonderful care of each other and always helped complete tasks the other was unable to do.

Preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Wackler, and her best friend and partner, Ronald Pettit, Kathy is survived by her loving father, Dale Wackler of Vandalia; devoted lifelong friend and neighbor, Sue Whisman and a wonderful group of faithful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Michael Malcosky officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, Piqua, Ohio. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Vandalia Memorial American Legion Auxillary Unit 668, P.O. Box 653, Vandalia, Ohio 45377 in Kathy’s memory.
