HINZE, Kenith A. of Vandalia, OH formerly of New Knoxville OH and St Marys OH was born in New Knoxville OH on the 31st day of March 1913 to William and Catherine (Holtorf) Hinze. He died on the 20th day of June 2007 at the age of 94 years. On the morning he was born, his mother baked bread for people enduring the Dayton flood, and on the morning he died, he was headed for the golf course. He grew old gracefully, had the ability to accept change and go with the flow, and gained a special place in the hearts of all who knew him. Kenith had a keen interest in current events, enjoyed reading, reminiscing and the history channel, appreciated changes in technology during his lifetime, loved the game of golf, and loved his family and friends. He will be missed by many. Kenith was preceded in death by his wife Leona (Schwieterman); his brother Howard; 2 sisters Marilyn Hinze and Beatrice (Hinze) Hattenbach; his granddaughter Elizabeth (Hinze) Grube; and a son-in-law Gerald L. Turner. He is survived by his daughter Patricia Turner Grimes and husband Dale of Vandalia; his son John K. Hinze and wife Karen of Tipp City; granddaughters Paige Adams Pressel of Brunswick, GA and Caroline Hinze of Tipp City; step-grandchildren Kara Turner Newmark (Robert), Greg Turner (Maria) and Todd Turner (Karen); great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Kenith graduated from New Knoxville High School and was an owner of New Knoxville Supply Co. in New Knoxville, OH. He sold his business interest in 1975 and enjoyed his retirement to the max. Keniths life will be celebrated with a Memorial Mass at St Christopher Parish 435 East National Road Vandalia, OH at 10:00am on Wednesday June 27, 2007. If desired, contributions may be made to the Wellness Connection (for heart disease), West Medical Plaza 1 Elizabeth Place Ste 110, Dayton, OH 45408-9901. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
