Kenneth Edwards

EDWARDS, Kenneth E., age 74, of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born August 20, 1932 in Winston, Kentucky to William Carl & Allie Mae (Turpin) Edwards. Kenneth retired from General Motors " Inland Div. in 1987, attended Trotwood High School, loved golf and spent many enjoyable years doing title work for Beau Townsend Ford. Preceded in death by his father and 3 brothers, TC, Stanley and Paul, Kenneth is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alene (Angel) of Vandalia; his mother, Allie Mae Edwards in TN; 1 son, Dennis & wife, Charmain Edwards of Butler Twp; 1 daughter, Kelly & wife, Mikael Lundqvist of Vandalia; 5 grandchildren, Leah Anderson, Mandy Anderson, Kenzie Lundqvist, Meaghan Windle, and Robert Daniel Edwards; 1 brother, Bill & wife, Joann Edwards of Englewood; 4 sisters, Jane & husband, Joe Reiter of Vandalia, Helen & husband, Glen Davenport and Barbara & husband, Lowell Davenport, both of TN, and Vicki & husband, Mike Truax of Butler Twp.; and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, February 19, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Dennis Phillips officiating. Burial to follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Dayton in Kenneths memory. The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff at Vandalia Park Nursing Center and Hospice of Dayton for the wonderfully compassionate and loving care they provided to Kenneth.
