Kenneth E. Smith

SMITH, Kenneth Edward, age 70 of Dayton, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born February 10, 1940 in Camden, New Jersey, son of the late George A. & Irene (Dunn) Smith. Kenneth was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. He was a private pilot, spent time working on the Aero Space Program and was a Quality Control Engineer with General Motors. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann (Mich); 3 sons, Kenneth, Christopher & Patrick Smith; 3 daughters, Nichole Smith Jackson, Kirsten & Linda Smith; 4 brothers, George, Robert, Ralph & Jack Smith; 1 sister, Irene Smith and 3 grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 5 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Vandalia with Fr. Robert Monnin officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Friday evening from 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420 in Kenneths memory.
