DILLHOFF, Kyle A. age 43 of Butler Twp., passed away Monday December 26, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Kyle was born June 25, 1973 in Dayton. He was a graduate of the Hobart Welding school in 1992 and had been employed as an aircraft welder for Unison. Kyle was a devoted supporter of athletics within the Vandalia Butler school district. He was an assistant coach of softball and volleyball at the high school and gave hitting lessons to both softball and baseball players. He was so committed to the success of the youth within the school district that he created a scholarship fund to aid female athletes from Butler High School. He was kind-hearted and a friend to all who knew him. Kyle was preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his parents George & Michele Dillhoff; one brother Coy Dillhoff; 2 sisters Jacqui Dillhoff and Nikki Harestad. He was the “favorite” uncle of Cortney, Keltonn, Cooper, Gage, and Mia and leaves behind his best friend Marlie his beloved dog and a host of other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday December 30 at 10:30am at St Christopher Catholic Church 435 E. National Rd, Vandalia with burial to follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday evening from 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kyle Dillhoff Scholarship Fund P.O.
