Lana L. Gross

GROSS, Lana L., age 70 of West Milton, formerly of Vandalia, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton after a lengthy illness. She was born October 22, 1940 in Dayton, OH daughter of the late Charles & Ethyl (Myers) Becker. She was a former lifelong member of the Murlin Heights United Church of Christ and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Preceded in death by her husband, Joe in 1995, 1 brother, Jack Myers and 1 sister, Keta Jones, Lana is survived by 1 daughter & son-in-law, Theresa A. Harris & John Vaden of West Milton; 3 sons, Curtis J. Gross of Vandalia, Jeffrey D. & wife, Elfie Gross of West Milton and Robert Tony & wife, Laura Gross of Vandalia; 3 sisters, Jolura Hall, Neota Brady and Maria Beimly; 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; and special friend, Jean Coss. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, October 24 at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia with Pastor Mark Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery, Fairborn. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Lanas memory.
