Laura B. Jendricks

JENDRICKS, Laura B., age 87, of Troy, formerly of Butler Twp., passed away Friday, December 31, 2010 at the Troy Care & Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness. She was born March 1, 1923 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, daughter of the late Eddison & Ruth (Davies) Berryman. Laura was a member of the Polk Grove United Church of Christ, the Eastern Star Victory Chapter #104 in Dayton and a former president of the Vandalia Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Jendricks was a graduate of Hanover Township High School, the Wyoming Seminary Dean School of Business and attended both Wharton and the AIB School. She was a well-respected member the Vandalia business community in Vandalia where she was employed as the Managing Officer at Bank One with over 30 years of service, before retiring in 1986. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 1994, Laura is survived by her dear and devoted friends, Stella & Tony Auzenne of Troy; Sheila Spaide; Al & Cookie Spaide and their children, Michelle, Sherry & Nicole, all of PA, and Shirley & Albert Orozzi of Vandalia. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday, January 3 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. John Fowler officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30 pm until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Polk Grove UCC Memorial Fund in Lauras memory.
