HART, Leonard W. age 91 of Englewood, passed away Wednesday December 21, 2011 at Friendship Village following after a lengthy illness. He was born March 26, 1920 in Eaton, OH son of the late John & Mary Jane (Waymire) Hart. Leonard was the Grounds Superintendent of the Montgomery Co. Fairgrounds where he had worked for 33 years. He was a life member of Polk Grove United Church of Christ and was one of the creators of the church Wood Cutters ministry. Leonard was preceded in death by his daughter Rebecca Hart-Spahr; 2 sisters, Ivalue Reed and Genevieve Hefelfinger; 2 brothers Glen and Wilbur Hart. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 precious years Ruth; one son Randall Randy & wife Cheryl Hart of Clayton; 2 grandchildren Doug Hart and Robbie Hart; 2 great-grandchildren Alyssa Hart and Tyler Hart; a special friend Starla Kushmaul and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Graveside services for family and friends will be held Saturday December 31 at 10:00am at Polk Grove Cemetery. A Memorial Service to celebrate Leonards life will follow at 11:00am at the Polk Grove United Church of Christ with Rev. John Fowler and Rev. Ron Hajarian officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or to the Polk Grove Church Memorial Fund in Leonards memory. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home.
