Lila June Seibert

SEIBERT, Lila June, age 86 of Dayton, passed away Saturday November 10, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton following an illness. She was born February 1, 1921 in Dayton, daughter of the late Ernest & Nellie (Meeks) Lyon. Lila was a retired bookkeeper from Moffett Inc. She was a member of Shiloh Church and the Kiser Alumni Association. Mrs. Seibert was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Jerald Seibert in 1995, one daughter Jerry Lynn Sands who also died in 1995, and one brother Ralph L Lyon. She is survived by 2 daughters Janis Turner of Richmond, IN and Judy & husband Mark McConnell of Dayton; 3 granddaughters Brenda & husband Barry Hutchinson, Melinda Sands (who is expecting twins Sophia Lynn and Tanner), Pamela & husband Doug Bentley; 2 grandsons Michael & wife Cara McConnell, and Mathew McConnell; 2 great-granddaughters Brooke Bentley and Kaylie McConnell; 3 great-grandsons Brayden McConnell, Zack Bentley, Fulton Hutchinson; special friend Gary Youngerman and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday November 13 at 10:30am at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia with Rev. Richard VanTine officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5 to 8pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or to the Alzheimers Association in Mrs. Seiberts memory.
