PATTY, Lillian Emma (nee Lins), age 96, formerly of Butler Twp., passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Elm Croft of Washington Township. She was born November 12, 1914 in Dayton, daughter of the late August Ludwig & Catherine Augusta Lins. She was a member of the Vandalia Butler Historical Society, the Vandalia Senior Citizens and was a good Christian woman who was actively involved in church activities all of her life. She was a 1933 graduate of Parker Cooperative High School, where she was happy to have had her lyrics chosen for the class song for her beloved high school. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, William L. Patty; 1 son, William A. Patty, 1 sister, Dorothy Elizabeth Volz and 1 brother, Clarence Frederick Lins, Lillian is survived by her daughters, to whom she was a beloved and devoted mother, Linda (Patty) Hahn and Dixie (Patty) Schwab (David); her 4 grandchildren, William D. Hahn (Meegan), Jeanette R. Hahn (Howard), Katherine R. Schwab and Paul L. Schwab (Kathryn), and 2 great-grandsons, Ian W. Hahn and Rhys H. Hahn. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 3 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia . Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5-8 pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Lillians memory.
