Lois Pauline Cate

CATE, Lois Pauline, age 83, of Vandalia, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Belle Manor Nursing Center in New Carlisle. She was born March 13, 1928 in Portersville, OH, daughter of the late Harry H. & Eunice (Thomas) Ketchum. Pauline was a member of the Polk Grove United Church of Christ, where she enjoyed serving in many womens groups. Preceded in death by her husband, Kline L. Cate in 2007, Pauline is survived by her 4 children, Gary Cate (Susan) of CA, Lois Vorhees (John) of Tipp City, Dennis Cate (Linda) of Englewood & Pam Hartman (Leroy) of Dayton; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Gailard & Jim Ketcham and 1 sister, Bonnie Sims. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, July 20 at the Polk Grove United Church of Christ, 9190 Frederick Pike, with Rev. Gail Sims officiating. Burial to follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 am until time of service. If so desired, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Paulines memory.
