LOCKHART, Lois E. age 73 of Vandalia, passed away Monday November 13, 2006 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born April 14, 1933 in Dayton, daughter of the late Lawrence & Emma Kaylor. Lois was a retired employee of General Motors and was a regular visitor to Jims Donut Shop in Vandalia. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert L. Lockhart; one sister and 4 brothers. Lois is survived by one daughter Kathy & husband Floyd Howerton of Vandalia; 4 sons Roy & wife Peggy Lockhart of Dayton, Ted & wife Linda Lockhart of Union, Dale & wife Tammy Lockhart of Dayton, Phil Lockhart of Vandalia; 2 brothers Robert Kaylor and Lylburn Kaylor; one sister Doris McKinnon; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday Nov. 17 at 11:00am at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia with Rev. Troy Todd officiating. Burial to follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5 to 8pm. The family requests that anyone wishing to make a donation, to please donate blood in Loiss memory to the Community Blood Center so that others may benefit as Lois did.
