Lorena Allen

ALLEN, Lorena E., age 88, of Monroe, formerly of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2009. She was born February 7, 1921 in Cincinnati, OH, daughter of the late William & Doretta Gadow. Lorena was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Antioch Shrine and Daughters of the Nile. She was a loving, warm & kind wife, mother, grandmother & sister. Preceded in death by her husband, T.R. Allen, Lorena is survived by her children, R. Edward Allen of Indianapolis, IN and Janet L. Campbell of Lebanon, OH; 1 sister, Phyllis A. Beitzel; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 19 (TODAY) at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Karen Fleming officiating. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 pm until time of service. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association in Lorenas memory.
