Louie L. Terry

TERRY, Louie L. age 91 of Dayton, passed away Thursday June 18, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. Louie was born September 30, 1923 in Corbin, KY son of the late William "Gus" and Sudie (Snyder) Terry. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran and was a lifetime member of the American Legion. Louie was a retired employee of Dayton Tire with 35 years of service and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his wife Patsy; one son Michael; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Louie is survived by 2 sons David (Cathy) Terry of Butler Twp. and Dennis (Heather) Terry of Tipp City; 5 grandchildren Paul (Susan), Trent (Brittany), Tim (Sarah), Mason, Gavin; 7 great-grandchildren; his beloved nieces, nephews and their families and numerous friends. Graveside services for family and friends will be held Wednesday June 24 at 1:30pm at Polk Grove Cemetery 9190 Frederick Pike, with Steve Groom officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Louie's memory. The family wants to extend a special thanks to the Buckeye Unit at Hospice of Dayton for their loving care of Louie during his illness.
