Lucille Ann “Lucy” Kempton

Age 79, of Butler Twp., passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018, at Grandview Hospital.

Lucy was born October 28, 1939 in Alvaton, KY to the late Earnest E. Saylors, Sr. and Ollie Eunice (Nealy) Saylors-Cross. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Muth; brother, Earnest Saylors, Jr; and daughter, Melinda Puckett.

Lucy enjoyed her many friends in Ft. Myers, Florida where she and Jim wintered for many years.

Lucy is survived by her loving husband of the past 30 years, James A. Kempton; son Mark Muth (Regina); three grandchildren, Christopher Muth (Amanda), Grae Muth, & Lindsay Esch; sister, Nelda Dodson (Johnny); and by her extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 2, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Vogelmann officiating. Inurnment at a later date will be at Willow View Cemetery.
