Madge Hunt

Madge L. Hunt Age 83, of Union, Ohio passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015. She was born August 18, 1932 in Dayton to the late Forrest & Myrtle (Cox) Rockey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Wendy Jean Hunt; and one brother, Russell Rockey. Madge is survived by her husband of the past 65 years, Emmett L. Hunt; three children, Rex Hunt, Cindy Whittaker (Dan) & Dawn Manns (Joel); seven grandchildren, Wendi (Charles), Brandi (Trey), Justin (Katie), triplets: Holli (Luke), Jamey (Travis) & Tobi (Chuck) and Kendell (Devin); 15 great grandchildren; and by her beloved dog, Rusty. She was a member of the Vandalia Church of the Nazarene for the past 20 years; a 1950 graduate of Northridge High School; and a graduate of the Dayton School of Practical Nursing. She retired in 1993 from Grandview Hospital as an LPN with over 20 years of service. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Wednesday (11/11) at the Vandalia Church of the Nazarene, 620 Stonequarry Road, Vandalia. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the church with Rev. Mark Batton and Rev. Robert Vogelman officiating. Interment will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made in memory of Madge to The Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420. .
