Margaret E. (Swanson) Hunt

July 26, 1923 — December 12, 2011

Hunt, Margaret E (Swanson) Age 88 of Englewood passed away Monday December 12th at Good Samaritan Hospital. Born on July 26th 1923 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, Margaret graduated Sault Area High School, after graduation she attended and graduated from the Aurora University Nursing Program in Chicago, IL. After finishing her degree she took at position at The Ohio State University which would eventually lead to her 35 year career at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, OH. While Grandview may have been her longest position, she served as a nurse for over 60 years holding posts at many organizations either temporarily or part time; these included hospitals, elementary schools, day camps, and retirement organizations. Loving to travel, the latter of these allowed her to visit locations all over the world including Hawaii, Alaska, and China. While her academic and professional achievements were very important to her, what she cherished most was her family. She is survived by her 4 children, Wade with his wife Rosemary; Karen Aguirre with her husband Cruise; Ned; and Todd with his wife Kay. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Lauren Acerra; Andrew Hunt with his wife Brittany; Robin Acerra; Kate Hunt; Nicole Aguirre; Alex Aguirre; and Elizabeth Hunt. A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 17th, at North Riverdale Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends from 2PM-3PM with the service to be held immediately after.
