Margaret A. Tandy

TANDY, Margaret A. (Miller) age 61, of Tipp City passed away at home on Tuesday, December 7, 2010. She was born April 1, 1949 in Huntsville, AL, daughter of the late Jessie & Imogene (Congo) Miller. Margaret worked 30+ years as a paralegal, working most recently for the Freund, Freeze & Arnold Law firm in Dayton. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, skating and riding her Harley. She was a member of the New Carlisle Baptist Church. Margaret is survived by her husband, James Tandy; daughter, Lisa Tandy; son & daughter-in-law, Bruce & Jenifer Tandy; 4 grandchildren, Matthew & T.J. Sigler, Colton & Hayley Tandy; sisters, Dot Gentry, Linda Lewis (Ike); brothers, James Miller (Debbie), Bobby Miller, Rene Miller (Jackie); and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, December 13, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Brother Rick Shoemaker officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County or to the Youth Group of the New Carlisle Baptist Church in Margarets memory. A special thanks to the angels of Miami County Hospice for the kind and compassionate care given to Margaret throughout her illness.
