BROOME, Margo J., age 68 of Vandalia, passed away at her residence on Saturday, December 25, 2010. She was born April 28, 1942 in Willshire, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry & Devona (Painter) Shell. Margo was a Secretary with the Montgomery County Sheriffs office with over 25 years of service, a member of the F.O.P. #104, the Buckeye State Sheriffs Association, the Cpl. John B. Buckmaster AmVets Post #99, and the International and Ohio Edsel Club. Preceded in death by her husband, Joe in 2000, 1 brother, Arley Buckmaster and 1 nephew, John B. Buckmaster, Margo is survived by her son, Brad Shell of Cincinnati; step-daughter, Lisa Brock (Glen) of Bowling Green, KY; 1 sister, Vickie Shell of Celina; special niece & nephews, Vicki, Gary and Gregg Buckmaster and special great-nieces & nephews, Casey, Ian, Neikerson, & Hayla Buckmaster and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, December 28 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Mr. Mike Hild officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday (TODAY) from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cpl. John B. Buckmaster USMC Memorial Fund, c/o Sinclair Foundation, 444 W. Third St., Building 12, Room 201, Dayton, OH 45402.
