Marie E. Lauber

LAUBER, Marie E., age 95 of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2006 at the Maria Joseph Living Care Center. Marie was born March 22, 1911 in St. Henry, OH, daughter of the late Herman H. and Elizabeth (Obringer) Albers. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, the Vandalia Senior Citizens and the Vandalia Sister Cities. Preceded in death by her husband, Leo F. Lauber in 1997, 1 son, Robert L. Lauber; 4 brothers and 3 sisters, Marie is survived by her son, Thomas & wife, Joanne Lauber of Vandalia; 3 grandchildren, Bernadette and husband, David Pasquale of Wexford, PA, Christine Lauber of Indianapolis, IN and Michael & wife, Jennifer Lauber of Boise, ID and numerous other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, November 30, at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Vandalia with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Wednesday evening from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Christopher Crossroads Challenge or to the Maria Joseph Living Care Center in Maries memory. The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff at Maria Joseph for the compassionate care they provided to Marie.
