Marie McBride

McBRIDE, Marie (Webb), age 75 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at her residence following an illness. She was born August 10, 1931 in Cookeville, TN, daughter of the late Floyd E. & Myrtle (Gore) Webb. Marie was a retired employee of the Mineweld Corporation. Marie was a devoted, loving, and compassionate mother to her children, a best friend, and wonderful grandmother. Preceded in death by her husband James in 1987, Marie is survived by her loving children, Sheryl Delfs & husband Richard of AZ, Debbie Acton & husband, John of AZ, Sandra McBride Tackett of Vandalia, Rene Bradley & husband, Tom of Troy, Dale McBride & wife, Annitta of Carlisle and her special daughter, Melissa McBride; 1 sister, Betty Dodson of TN; her 11 grandchildren, Melissa, Angela, Dale Jr., Ericka, Brandon, Alexa, Derek, J.D., Sarah, Adrienne, & Stephanie; 10 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 27, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Rex Berger officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm.
