Marie Sferro

SFERRO, Marie A., age 89 of Vandalia, passed away Monday, December 22, 2008 at Springmeade Health Center, Tipp City, OH. She was born March 22, 1919 in Mt. Braddock, PA, daughter of the late Samuel & Jesse Lembo. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church of Vandalia. Preceded in death by her husband, John Sferro Sr., 5 siblings, Alfonso Lembo, Frank Lembo, Mike Lembo, Rosie Gerome & Joe Lembo, Marie is survived by her son, John Sferro & wife, Alice (Ledel) of Vandalia; 2 grandsons, Kevin & wife, Monica Sferro and Derek Sferro; 1 great-grandson, Zachary Sferro; special niece, Kathy Jennings, and a host of other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 30 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Vandalia with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial to follow at Royal Oak Cemetery, Brookville. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Monday evening from 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, Miami Valley Chapter, in Maries memory.
