Marilyn "Jean" Brown

BROWN, Marilyn Jean age 85, of Centerville, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Springmeade Nursing Center in Tipp City. She was born May 30, 1925 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late James D. & Helen (Hussong) West. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Judge Robert M. Brown, 1 son, Robert M. Brown Jr., 2 sisters, and 1 brother, Jean is survived by her daughter, Robin & husband, Dana Stamps of Butler Twp.; her son, Rodney & wife, Donna Brown of Greenville, SC; 11 grandchildren, Dana A. Stamps II, Shawn Stamps, Eric Stamps (Anila), Kathleen Whelan, Joshua Stamps, Donan Whelan (Lisa), Jessica Brown (Peter), Jessica Every (Lyon), Lauren Owens, Robert M. Brown III, and Kristin Brown; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Richley D. West of West Milton; special niece, Cheryl Glasener; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, September 25 at the Vandalia Baptist Temple, 765 Helke Rd. Vandalia with Pastor Rick Washburn officiating. Burial to follow at Davids Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 9:30 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital or Hospice of Dayton in Jeans memory.
