Marilyn (Saum) Strominger, 89, of Vandalia, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2022. She was born in Dayton Ohio on January 24, 1933, graduated from Kiser High School and worked for the City of Dayton Municipal Court system for over 30 years. Marilyn enjoyed a lifetime of friends, family and time with her precious dog Barney. Her summers were spent at Phillips Pool where she was a handball champion.
After her beloved husband of 37 years, Henry (Heinie), passed away she enjoyed the next chapter of her life traveling the world. Marilyn loved taking art classes, gardening, and traveling. Some of her favorite spots were visiting St. Martin and Florida. She was strong in her Christian faith and always believed that things happened for a reason.
Marilyn lived a blessed life and will be remembered for her uncanny sense of humor and wit, along with a dose of stubbornness and love for all her friends. As a dog lover, her wish is to have donations made to Sisca Pet Adoption & Wellness Center, (937-294-6505), in lieu of flowers. https://www.sicsa.org/give/
