Marjorie L. Everhart

December 5, 1925 — May 15, 2017

EVERHART, Marjorie Lois age 91 passed away peacefully at 6:48 PM Monday, May 15, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Everhart, Sr. 45 years ago; her son, Timothy Alan Everhart, on November 3, 2016 and her Grandson, Nicholas David Aycock, February 2, 2013. Born in Sabina, Ohio she was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lucinda Jane (Dorman) Anders as well as 10 Siblings; Clara Bowles, Edith Parsons, Ethel Henry, Margaret Anders, Alma Cartee, Harold Anders, Thurman Anders, Carl Anders, Ellen Hoppes and Maxine Mullen.

She was a Godly woman who was always available for cooking, sewing, Bible School cookies and punch, etc., at her church. She was surrounded by kind neighbors in the home she moved into in 1956 and often returned their kindness with a warm apple pie or casserole. Her occupation was wife, mother, and homemaker and she excelled at all. She was a member or First Baptist Church Vandalia, Ohio as well as an original member of the Thursday ‘Classics’. Marjorie was a member of Shirley Lassiter’s Sunday School class. The family wishes to thank those who have kept in touch with Mom throughout the seven years of living with Dementia. Always a bright smile for everyone, she was a true joy.

Survivors include her children, Karen Zug; Juletta Joy Aycock (David); Gene Everhart, all of Vandalia. Ten Grandchildren, Allyssa (Brent) Alford, Heather Jacques, Natalie (Chris) Barnett, Nichole Conway, Nathan (Savhanna) Aycock, Benjamin Everhart, Chase Everhart, James Everhart, Timothy Everhart and Sarah Everhart. Sixteen Great Grandchildren, Claryssa and Claudia Jacques; Brent Michael (Lauren)Alford and Kylie Alford; Chloe, Cailey and AJ Barnett; Christian Wallzs and Jaiden Fox; Carson and Carter Aycock; Jaylyn, River, Grace, Hanna and Marliegh Everhart.

Visitation will be Thursday, 12-1 at the First Baptist Church on Elva Court in Vandalia with service at 1 PM. Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle, OH. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Dayton. Condolences may be sent to the family at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home in Vandalia, who is in charge of arrangements. http://mortonwhetstonefh.com
