JOHNSTON, Marjorie M., age 84 of Friendship Village, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Good Samaritan Hospital following an illness. She was born May 22, 1922 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late Clifford E. & Edna G. (Gaible) Riesau. Marjorie attended Vandalia-Butler High School, was a member of the O.E.S Dayton Chapter, was a Girl Scout leader, she managed Rikes Photography Studio in downtown Dayton for several years, and was a former employee of Flints Foodtown and the Imperial Foodtown. Preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Johnston, 1 son, James Gaible Johnston, and 1 sister, Kathryn McIntyre, Marjorie is survived by 3 daughters & sons-in-law, Judy & Mel Huddleson of Charleston, SC, Penny & Jim Pohl of Union, and Patty & Mick Wysong of New Lebanon; 6 grandchildren, Becky Wampler (Barry), Lisa Whitaker (Glenn), Caryn Whittle (Brian), Julie Routhier (Bill), Steve Hughes (Cheryl) and Shawn Seebach (Phil); 2 step-grandsons, Matt Pohl and Mark Pohl (Missy); 6 great-grandchildren, Danielle, Ashley, Paige, Madison, Jenna, Matthew; 3 step-great-grandchildren, Macy, Conner, and Camille; special niece, Sue Leugers and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, March 12 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Dave Snowden officiating. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Marjories memory.
