SEAGRAVES, Mark A., age 51 of Englewood, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023, at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Mark was born February 10, 1972, in Dayton, Ohio, son of John and Gloria (Keeney) Seagraves. He was a 1991 graduate of Vandalia-Butler High School, was an avid sports fan, especially the Duke Blue Devil Basketball team, enjoyed fishing, and most importantly loved his girls and spending time at all of their activities. Mark was an employee of the Northmont City School District where he took great pride in his work. Prepping ball fields was a passion for Mark, as he prided himself in making sure the competition fields for the athletes were always pristine.
Mark is survived by his wife of 25 years, Tracy (Noble) Seagraves; 3 daughters, Hannah, Hailee and Molly Seagraves; his parents, John and Gloria Seagraves; brother, Mike Seagraves (Angela); maternal grandmother, Audrey Keeney; father-in-law, Reece Noble; nephews, Michael (Kayla) Seagraves, Kyle Seagraves and niece, Nicole Seagraves; best friend, David Reach, and his “best buddy”, Dax, along with a host of other relatives and wonderful friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, February 24 at First Light Church, 140 Elva Ct., Vandalia with Pastor David Starry officiating. Interment will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Ohio State Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) Cancer Research Fund, OSU Cancer Center, 460 W. 10th Avenue Columbus, OH 43210 in Mark’s memory. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
