Martha Rose Bish

Age 100, of Vandalia, passed away July 24, 2023 at The Hospice of Dayton. Martha was born February 22, 1923 in Gibsonia, PA to the late Clarence Very & Rose Aubilla (Youngker) Clager. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Bish, in 2001; two sisters, Irene & Betty; one brother, Howard; and by two daughters-in-law, Sandy & Carolyn Bish.

Martha was a long-time employee of the Vandalia-Butler School System and she enjoyed quilting.

Martha is survived by four sons, Michael & his wife, Kimberly, Jerry & his wife, Mary Jo, Jeff & his wife, Yvonne and Brian & his fiance’, Cindy; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and by one niece, Helen Jean Dunbar.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 12, at Poplar Hill Cemetery in Vandalia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Martha to The Hospice of Dayton.
