Martha Myers

MYERS, Martha, age 80 of Kettering, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the Dayton Heart Hospital. She was born July 10, 1928 in Hyden, Kentucky, daughter of the late Chester & Montana (Asher) Morgan. Preceded in death by her husband, James H. Myers; 1 grandson, Marvin; 5 sisters, Fannie, Marie, Oma, Debbie, and her twin, Mary, Martha is survived by 3 children, Carl Combs (Beverly) of Kettering, Michael Combs (Claudette Mullen) of Centerville, and Brenda Copeland (Fred B.) of West Milton; 1 sister, Carolyn Amburgey; 5 grandchildren, Terry (Karin), Carla (Doug), Michaele (Marshall), Michael Jeremy (Tabitha) & Heather (Clint); 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, January 26, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Gregory King officiating. Burial to follow at Willowview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday (TODAY) from 2-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Greenmont-Oak Park Community Church, 1921 Woodman Dr., Kettering, OH 45420 in Marthas memory.
