Martha C. Pierce

PIERCE, Martha Clara, age 101 of Vandalia, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born October 28, 1911 in St. Anthony, OH, daughter of the late Joseph & Katherine (Wendel) Siegrist. Martha was a long time member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles & her son, Barry, 7 brothers, and 4 sisters, Mary is survived by her sister-in-law, Dorothy Siegrist, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary is also survived by her loving daily caregivers, Nancy Freitas, Judy Fultz, Pat Buckner, Kristen Marshall and Mary & Mike Blakesly. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 10 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 405 E. National Rd. Vandalia with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until time of service.
