Marvin J. Flick Sr.

FLICK, Marvin J. Sr., age 70 of Vandalia, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born January 9, 1944 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Marvin & Alvina (Gessler) Flick. Marvin was employed by Bob Ross Buick, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vandalia and was a United States Air Force Veteran. Preceded in death by 1 son, Marvin "Joey" Flick, 1 granddaughter, Lea, and his brother-in-law, William Dexter, Marvin is survived by his wife of 38 years, Susan; 2 daughters, Shelli Robbins (Tim) and Shannon Grusenmeyer (Dan); 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Marlene Dexter. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, September 18 at First Baptist Church, 140 Elva Ct., Vandalia with Pastor David Starry officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Wednesday evening from 5-8 pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Marvin's memory.
