Mary Alice Marshall

MARSHALL, Mary Alice age 93 formerly of Vandalia, passed away Thursday October 19, 2017 with her daughters by her bedside at the Friends Care Community in Yellow Springs where she resided since 2015. She was born September 16, 1924 in Van Lear KY, daughter of the late Howard & Madge Painter. Mary was preceded in death by her daughter Judith; sons James and Steven; their father William “Tom” Marshall and grandson Eric King. She is survived by 3 daughters Deanne (James) King, Susie (James) Pryce all of Bethel Twp and Carol Springer of Dayton; grandsons Jacob Hortsman, Chris, Andy, and David Bochenek, Matthew and Gregg King; granddaughters Kimberly (Bochenek) Strohmeyer, Sonja (Springer) Pugh; 16 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a special sister-in-law June Marshall. She will be greatly missed but we know she is at peace now. Graveside services for family and friends will be held Tuesday October 24 at 11:00am at Poplar Hill Cemetery in Vandalia. There will be no visitation. The family prefers in lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the charity of your choice in Mary’s memory.
