Mary Margaret McKenna

McKENNA, Mary Margaret, age 92 of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2015 under Hospice care. She was born November 8, 1923 in Springfield, Ohio, daughter of the late Jess & Margaret (Drennen) Burcham. Mary Margaret was a retired employee of WPAFB with 52 years of service, was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and enjoyed spending her time outdoors gardening and tending to her yard. Preceded in death by her husband, William and 2 brothers, Jess & Bud Burcham, Mary Margaret is survived by her sister-in-law, Claire Burcham along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 9 at the St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 E. National Rd., Vandalia with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Springfield, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, January 8, from 4-6 pm at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Children’s Medical Center, One Children’s Plaza, Dayton, OH 45404 in Mary Margaret’s name.
