Mary Nell Waymire

Age 80, of Tipp City, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Hospice of Miami County. Mary Nell was born August 7, 1944 in Dayton to the late Lester & Mary (Mauchamer) Burton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John L. “Jack” Waymire, in 2020; and by one brother, Norman Burton.

Mary Nell retired from U. S. Airways as a destination specialist and during her retirement she enjoyed bird watching, gardening and she was a very talented baker - specializing in deserts.

Mary Nell is survived by her nephew, Michael Burton & his wife, Stephanie; sister-in-law, Karen Burton; and by her extended family, Irma Ruth Lake, Richard Burton, Jr., Lisa Ann Burton, Theresa Shafer & Nettie Sheppard.

A graveside committal service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Polk Grove Cemetery.
