Mary L. (Martin) Roeder

Roeder (Martin) Mary Lee Born November 21, 1949 of Englewood Ohio, a loving wife and mother departed this earth suddenly Saturday, August 1, 2015 surrounded by her family. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Morris Lee Martin, mother, Mary E. Martin, sister, Donna Gilliland, brother, Michael Anders and recently her brother, Harry Niles Anders. Mary is survived by her husband Jim, son Jerry L. Shields Jr (Jenny, step-grandchildren Alex and Elizabeth), brother Charles Anders (Sue), sister Linda (Hellman), brother, Butch Martin, sister Becky White (Charlie), stepson Matt Roeder (Cheryl, Austin, Ethan and Jackson) stepdaughter Mindy Schultz (Greg, Peyton, Carson and Braxton) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mary touched many lives through her work and enjoyed helping people find homes working for Better Homes and Gardens Big Hill real estate winning multiple sales awards. She will be missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 4 from 5:00-8:00 pm, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 5, at 1:00 pm at St John's Lutheran Church, 122 W. National Rd., Vandalia. The family will also receive guests from 12:30-1:00 prior to funeral service. Burial at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
