Mary E. Stanley

STANLEY, Mary E., age 84, of Riverside, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Hospice of Dayton after a lengthy illness. She was born September 10, 1926 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late Clarence & Flossie (Evans) Blessing. Mary was a member of the Brantwood Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Pete; daughter, Barbara; grandchildren, Chris King, Tammy Stanley & Paul Stanley; Mary is survived by her 6 sons, Pete & wife, Sherry Stanley of Englewood, Harry & wife, Annamarie Stanley of Tipp City, Arthur & wife, Sharon Stanley of Dayton, John Stanley of Dayton, Mike & wife, Paula Stanley of Huber Heights, and Phil & wife, Patty Stanley of Dayton; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, step-daughter, Etta Mae Smith; niece, Ila Herring of CA; good friends, Lucy Maggard of New Carlisle & Marty St. Onge of NV; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, December 21 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Thomas Bowman & Pastor Paul Thacker officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 pm until time of service. Private graveside service for the family will be held at Willowview Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Marys memory.
