STERMOCK, Mary age 77 of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday January 29, 2008 at Miami Valley Hospital following an illness. Mary was a retired schoolteacher from Murlin Heights Elementary School with 25 years of dedicated service educating children. Mary was a lovely person who led by example and whose life blessed all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Stermock; sister Catherine Miletic, and brothers John Pribonic, and Frank Pribonic. Mrs Stermock is survived by her loving children Michael Stermock of Vandalia and Anne Stermock of Little Rock, AR; one sister Rose Rugola of Mt. Vernon; 2 sisters-in-law Gerry Pribonic of Hudson and Donna Pribonic of Lighthouse Point, FL and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday February 4 at 11:00am at St Christopher Catholic Church with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial will take place Tuesday at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron, OH. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to the University of Akron School of Education 302 Buchtel Common Akron, OH 44325 in Marys memory. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Robert Prophater of the Vandalia Medical Center and the staff at Miami Valley Hospital 6th floor for their loving care of Mary during her illness.
