Age 80, of Butler Twp., passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at The Hospice of Dayton. Mary was born January 11, 1938 in Jackson, Missouri to the late Edward F. (Sr.) & Helen Mary (Biri) Greene. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two siblings, Fred Greene and Elizabeth Wuesthoff.
Mary was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church since 1963. She sang in the Adult Choir at the church starting in 1970 and for many years she served as a teacher’s aide at St. Christopher School.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of the past 57 years, Donald R. Walter; son & daughter-in-law, Ted & Tami Walter; three grandchildren, Cody (Kirsten), Cory (Lauren) & Chase; two great grandchildren, Paxton & Adam; two brothers, Charlie Greene (Bernie) & Pete Greene (Charlotte); sister, Rita Ragland; brother-in-law, Mike Wuesthoff; sister-in-law, Pearl Greene; and by her extended family & many good friends.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. John Tonkin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday (10/27) at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 East National Rd., Vandalia. Interment will follow at Springboro Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church starting at 9:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Mary to The Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45410.
