Melda Nostadt

NOSTADT, Melda (Giles) beloved wife, mother and grandmother entered the eternal kingdom on March 2, 2009. She is survived by her devoted spouse of 62 years, William Nostadt; her four children Nancy, Linda, William Jr., and Catherine, and their spouses; her seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Melda did many things well, being a meticulous bookkeeper, expert seamstress, and enthusiastic baker, but her real passion was quilting. She has left behind many treasured quilts that will become family heirlooms. During her retirement, she was an active participant in the Friendship Quilt Club and Visitation Church craft group, both in Eaton, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, March 6 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Vandalia with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Thursday evening from 5-7 pm.
