Melvina June Vaught
Age 98, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Stonespring of Vandalia, formerly of Huber Heights, Ohio, for over 50 years. She was born to the late B.J. & Minnie (Williamson) Hock.
Melvina was a Dayton Police Department security officer for the former Rike’s Department Store. She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her husbands, Alfred Vaught and Clarence Fearing; son, Darrell Fearing; daughter, Beverly J. Luepke (Vaught); brothers, George Hock & Donald Hock; sisters, Luella Hughes, Delores (Fremont) McAfee, Betty L. Salter; niece, Barbara Terry Pickens.
Survived by daughter-in-law, Vienna Fearing; brother Rev. Paul J. (Johnnie) Hock; grandchildren, John Miller (Aaron Wood), Scott Miller (Amy), Darrell Fearing, Jr. (Jennifer) & Carrie Florence (Laronn); 8 step grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 19 step great grandchildren & 7 step great great grandchildren; special niece, Betty Taylor.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 29, 12 noon-1:30 p.m. at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, OH 45377, with private services to follow. Pastor E.M. Reed, officiating. Interment Minnich Cemetery, Union, OH.
